Northwest Harris County MUD 5 is committed to helping district residents conserve water. Besides saving you money and improving the appearance of your lawn, water conservation is important to maintain the long-term health of the aquifers that supply the district with most of its water.

Last year’s drought caused a significant drop in underground water levels, to the tune of 77 feet on average. Lower water levels reduce the district’s ability to supply water without restriction throughout the summertime.
