On Tuesday, May 17th, 2022 Northwest Harris County MUD 5 will be temporarily changing the drinking water disinfectant from chloramines to free chlorine for a portion of the district. This temporary change is expected to last for 2-3 months. This change is a response to the increased demand on the water distribution system.
During the transition, some customers may experience a change in the way their water smells or tastes. The water is still safe to drink. Please report any problems to Municipal District Services by submitting a request here or calling 281-290-6500.
