Exciting things are happening in NWHCMUD 5! The recently built trail system continues to be popular. The District is continuing to explore additional trail connections including connecting the Reserve at Cypress Creek neighborhood to the trail system along Telge. Currently under construction are a few trail projects including a loop trail around the detention basin in Forest Creek Farms, extending a sidewalk along the east side of Louetta between the existing trail and Telge Road, as well as a small connection between existing sidewalks in Lakes of Northpointe to the trail system along Spring Cypress Road near Faulkey Gully.
The District is also exploring multiple locations for a dog park and a nature park near Faulkey Gully. Harris County Precinct 3 requested the District’s assistance to explore a formal pedestrian crossing at Louetta Road near Rock Creek.
