BGE Inc. is a nation-wide consulting firm, based in Houston since its founding in 1975. In 2019, BGE was engaged as the district engineer for NW Harris County MUD 5 to assist with water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer infrastructure needs. As the engineer for the District, BGE is involved with comprehensive planning for asset management for maintenance of the District’s existing infrastructure, as well as design and construction of new water, sewer and drainage projects to support the District’s growth. 

The District’s water distribution system provides water service to an area of 2,900 acres and comprises five water plants, with a total of 1.2 million gallons of ground storage and approximately 90 miles of waterline. Since their engagement, BGE has been involved in various projects to assist the District in delivering water services to the community including the design and construction of the fifth water plant located on Telge Road and rehabilitation of multiple water plant facilities.
